Sending Signals is an Ontario-registered nonprofit organization.
Our purpose: To promote and support electronic music, multidisciplinary arts, and community-based cultural programming through events, performances, workshops, and artists development initiatives.
Our vision: An immersive art and electronic music scene that is equitable, transparent, socially and ethically conscious, and safe for women and gender-diverse individuals.
Our mission:
Create sacred event spaces for women/gender-diverse individuals and the communities around them.
Produce compelling, artistic experiences grounded in joy and human connection.
Sending Signals Inc. is the creator of the WWOMB (Wonderful World of Make Believe) event series. WWOMB events are FLINTA* electronic music parties.
Our Policies
Sending Signals is our organization, and WWOMB (Wonderful World of Make Believe) is our main event series.
WWOMB creates femme led spaces, open to all. However, if you are uncomfortable with femininity being the primary cultural and aesthetic focus, our events are not for you.
Safety and respect won’t be compromised. Our events are for celebrating women, femme-presenting and gender-diverse individuals. This helps us create and preserve an atmosphere that makes our gatherings feel sacred and safe.
Arrive with openness, joy, a love for music and desire for human connection. This is a shared experience; please contribute to its magic.
Our Values
Consent is non‑negotiable. Real consent is enthusiastic, ongoing, specific, and freely given. If you do not understand or practice this, do not enter our spaces. We encourage attendees to familiarize themselves with community‑based resources (see some services here).
Zero tolerance for aggressive or abusive, harassing, or discriminatory behaviour such as transphobia, homophobia, racism, ageism, ableism, misogyny, unwanted touching, sexual harassment, or any other abusive behaviour. Anyone engaging in harmful conduct will be removed immediately and banned from future events.
Our staff and security have full authority to refuse entry or remove, deny re‑entry and intervene in unsafe behaviour. Their decisions are final.
Our events are 19+.
No refunds.
Filming or photography is not allowed. This will allow you to feel more free, uninhibited and comfortable to let loose.
Please note we may have a dedicated photographer tasked with capturing the event at key moments.
Along with no phones, we ask that you do not have extended conversations on the dancefloor. The dancefloor is for dancing, feeling present in your body, and to escape.
No weapons, glass, outside alcohol, professional cameras, smart glasses or any other inconspicuous recording devices. Larger bags may need to be inspected or stored in coat check.
Please use washrooms efficiently. Do not linger longer than necessary so the space remains accessible to everyone.
Substance use is judgement‑free. Please be mindful of your surroundings and your impact on others. Harm reduction material will be available.
If you need help, notify staff. We are here to support your safety, comfort, and experience. In case of an emergency, please find the nearest exit.
Respect the venue and all staff. We are fortunate to work with partners who support our mission; treat the space with care.
